Visible light

Electromagnetic radiation from 380 to 750 nm that is visible to the human eye. It is the component of solar radiation that is best transmitted by the Earth’s atmosphere, which is why it is used for visual orientation not only by humans but by the vast majority of terrestrial animals. The blue and red components of visible light are used by plants for photosynthesis.
