Earth

The third planet of the Solar System, home to all known life and humankind. The planet Earth is located at a distance of 149,600,000 km from the Sun, has a mass of 5.9 × 1024 kg and a radius of 6,370 km. It is orbited by a single natural satellite called the Moon. It takes the Earth approx. 365 days to orbit the Sun and 24 hours to turn around its axis. Its atmosphere is composed of oxygen and nitrogen, and the average temperature on its surface allows water to exist in a liquid state, a necessary condition for life to exist.
