Fluidized bed gasifier.

A device in which finely ground fuel (coal, biomass) is floated in a stream of air and a gasification process takes place. The suspension of air and fine fuel particles behaves like a liquid. The fresh fuel is thoroughly mixed with the particles already undergoing gasification. This ensures a uniform temperature and good decomposition of undesirable substances such as tar, oils, phenols, and other liquid by-products. The raw syngas flows through a cyclone to remove particles. The fluidized bed generator is suitable for processing a wide range of fuels such as biomass or low rank coal.
