Solar concentrator

A device that concentrates the sun’s rays on one spot using appropriately shaped mirrors to create a high temperature. The mirror may be either a single parabolic mirror, in the form of a dish or trough, or it may be a number of flat mirrors assembled in the shape of a Fresnel reflector. In the focus, temperatures above 500 °C are generated, which can be used to generate electricity, stored in thermal storage, or used to melt materials as a solar furnace.
