Superheated water

Liquid water under high pressure at a temperature above the boiling point (100 °C) and below the critical temperature (374 °C). Also called subcritical water or pressurized hot water. The increased pressure raises the boiling point so that the water remains liquid above 100 °C. Superheated water is used in the energy industry, where it serves as an efficient medium for transferring thermal energy.
