Photon

An elementary particle with zero rest mass that moves at the speed of light in a vacuum and constitutes the smallest possible part of an electromagnetic wave (i.e., light). Photons exhibit particle-wave dualism, that is, they behave both as a wave and as a particle. Their energy depends on radiation frequency, from high-energy gamma and X-rays through visible light to low-energy infrared and radio waves.
