A board containing several dozen photovoltaic cells connected in series or parallel which produces direct current from incident solar radiation. Solar panels usually have an aluminium frame for easy assembly and a cover glass that protects the photovoltaic cells from harsh weather. The panels can be placed on the roofs of houses or on racks in photovoltaic farms.
