Positron

The antimatter counterpart of the electron, also called an antielectron or positive electron. A positron has the same mass and spin as an electron but a positive charge of the same value. The positron is stable in a vacuum but quickly reacts with electrons in matter, is annihilated, and releases gamma rays. Positrons are emitted during beta plus decay.
